Documentation
Download the technical chart Download the security chartCreate pieces that will withstand outdoor conditions and weather using the Nanovia ASA filaments. ASA (Acrylonitrile styrene acrylate) is a plastic with mechanical properties similar to ABS but hydrophobic and UV resistant.
Ideal for 3D prints with an outside use on for example terrases or boats.
Avantages:
- UV resistant
- Water resistant
- Easy to print
- Good dimensional control
Application recommendations
Storage
- Store Nanovia ABS ASA in a dry and dark location, if possible with a desiccant.
- In order to guarantee good printing conditions dehydrate Nanovia ABS ASA at 60°c for 4 hours or longer, when the spools has been exposed to moisture for an extended period.
Printing
- The filament should be extruded in a range of 230 à 250 ° C.
- A heated bed is required (between 90 et 110 ° C)
Post treatment
- It’s possible to smoothen Nanovia ASA using acetone
Health and safety
Printing
- We recommend printing Nanovia ABS ASA in a room equipped with air extraction or by using appropriate breathing equipment. Whilst printing ASA produces a VOC derivative
Post treatment
- We recommend wearing standard safety equipment during the post treatment of your prints made with Nanovia ABS ESD
Please consult the security chart for more information.
Packaging
Spools are packed in individual boxes, sous-vide with desiccant. Spools are equipped with both a material traciblity and a production series number.
